Debra brings more than 15 years of hands-on accounting and financial leadership experience to Our Bookkeeper. Starting as a staff accountant and advancing into comptroller and director of operations roles, she has directly prepared or overseen financials for more than 800 businesses, ranging from startups to multi-million-dollar operations.

Her experience spans both high-volume execution — monthly closings, tax preparation, budgeting, and audit support — and strategic oversight, including cash flow management, system implementation, compliance, and operational scaling. Having run businesses in both California and Texas, Debra understands the day-to-day reality trade owners face: messy books, cash leaks, hiring challenges, and the constant tension between field work and administrative demands.

At Our Bookkeeper, she applies that experience with a practical, straightforward approach — clean numbers you can trust, clear visibility into cash flow, and backend structure that makes the business easier to run.
